About
D. Hernandez is a poet, essayist, and traveling storyteller writing under the name Ruben. Known as "The Central Park Poet," he has authored over 1,200 original poems and runs community-based creative programming that brings poetry into public spaces. His work has been recognized with the Creatives Rebuild New York Grant for community impact.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he holds a B.A. in Philosophy & English from Iona University and writes at the intersection of the countercultural, the spiritual, and the deeply human.
